Youth (Fine) Rowing Summer Camp 2025

  • This course is designed to enhance rowing techniques, refining skills and improving overall performance on the water.
  • Wide range of RHKYC boats will be used: WinTech Racing Odyssey Coxed Quad to Filippi Coxed Quad Racing Shell. 
  • Boat type and allocation will be determined based on the overall experience and skill levels of the class.
  • Course fee includes coaching, equipment, centre day pass (4 days).
Course prerequisites:
1. Youth rowers have fine rowing experience and/or
2. YDP rowers by invitation and/or
3. Outsider who has rowing experience with rowing CV.

Participants:
Aged 12 to 17 years old.
Club members and non-club members are welcome.

Course dates (four half days):
Camp 1: 24-27 June
Camp 2: 08-11 July
Camp 3: 22-25 July
Camp 4: 5-8 August 

Course time:
0930 to 1200hrs

Course fee* (per person):
$2,475 (RHKYC members)

$2,875 (non-RHKYC members)
* Above fee includes the access pass to Shek Mun Rowing Centre during the camps.


Class size:
5-8 students (min. 4 to run the course)

To ensure Safety and Comfort Guidelines:

1. Hat, Sun cream and Rashguard: these will help shield their face and skin from direct sunlight.
2. A Large Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is essential as we spent a long time off shore. A 1 litre water bottle is highly recommended.

3. Sunglasses: The sun’s rays reflect off the water, making UV exposure and glare much stronger than on land. It can cause "sunburn" of the eye (photokeratitis) which is painful and causes permanent vision loss and other serious eye diseases.
