Youth Rowing Summer Camps 2025
A four-day camp providing an interactive and fun environment to learn rowing, to build confidence on the water, and to explore the surrounding coastline.
Course Prerequisites:
1. Complete novice and/or
2. Student rowers who row with school at the Club and/or
3. RHKYC YDP rowers.
Participants:
Aged 12 to 17 years old.
Club members and non-Club members are welcome.
Course dates (Monday to Thursday):
Camp 1: 23-26 June
Camp 2: 30 June - 3 July
Camp 3: 7-10 July
Camp 4: 14-17 July
Camp 5: 21-24 July
Camp 6: 28-31 July
Camp 7: 4-7 August
Duration:
4 full days
Course time:
1000 to 1500hrs
Course fee (per person):
$3,750 (RHKYC Member)
$4,410 (Non-RHKYC Member)
Lunch included.
Class size:
12 students (min. 4 to run the camp)
Language:
English and Cantonese
To ensure Safety and Comfort Guidelines:
1. Hat, Sun cream and Rashguard: these will help shield their face and skin from direct sunlight.
2. A Large Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is essential as we spent a long time off shore. A 1 litre water bottle is highly recommended.
3. Sunglasses: The sun’s rays reflect off the water, making UV exposure and glare much stronger than on land. It can cause "sunburn" of the eye (photokeratitis) which is painful and causes permanent vision loss and other serious eye diseases.
