Adult Dragon Boat Introduction Course 2025

RHKYC will be offering a Dragon Boat Introduction course for new paddlers in 2025 to learn the fundamental skills required to become a dragon boat paddler with Royal X.

Every new joiner with no dragon boat experience MUST ATTEND at least three of the four sessions prior to joining the development program. As well, new paddlers with limited dragon boat paddling experience (such as one year paddling only) are also encouraged and most welcome to join the course.

The course will be run in four sessions and will cover many aspects of paddling such as stroke technique, safety, team dynamics, seat roles, capsize drills, race starts and race pieces, calling the boat, and much more.

Age:
18 or above

Course Dates and Time:
Wednesday, 19 February (0600 to 0730hrs. at KI)
Sunday, 23 February (1000 to 1130hrs. at MI)
Wednesday, 26 February (0600 to 0730hrs. at KI)
Sunday, 2 March – (1000 to 1130hrs. at MI)

Course Fee (per person):
$1,420 (for RHKYC members)
$1,700 (for non-RHKYC members)

Class Size:
Max. 12 ppl (min. 6 ppl)

KI - Kellett Island, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
MI - Middle Island, Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong

Remarks:
No make up sessions will be offered.
