Youth Intro to Gennaker/Spinnakers

Course Schedule  : 

• 7 & 8 Oct
• 9 & 10 Oct
• 28 & 29 Oct
• 30 & 31 Oct

Course Prerequisites: Participants must have sailing and background knowledge to Level 3 standard.

Course Details:

It is designed to allow young sailors to carry on once they have learnt the basics and progress from beginner to the racer.  Learn how to rig the boat, hoist, gybe and drop/recover an asymmetric spinnaker.  Gain the knowledge and understanding to sail the best possible course downwind. 

A valid RHKYC Membership number must be provided when enrolling using the Member's option and price. Members rates and priority enrollment only applies to members and their immediate family. All others must enroll as non-members. Failure to provide a valid RHKYC membership number will result in your enrollment being cancelled. Enrollments made using the membership option will be billed to membership accounts. 

Minimum Age: 14

Duration: 2 Full Days

Course Times: 09:15 to 16:45hrs

RHKYC Member - $1,850
Non-Member - $2,350

Course Inclusions: The cost of the course includes logbooks and certificates if necessary. Lunch is included for full day courses.

Other Details:

All participants are required to be confident in the water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid. Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn at all times when on the water.
