Assistant Instructor Qualification
The RHKYC Assistant Instructor program is the first step on the pathway towards becoming an sailing instructor. Assistant instructors will have the chance to work (paid) alongside instructors and receive training towards their instructor qualification. The format of the training will change slightly. The Assistant Instructor course will now be via invitation.
The course fee includes lunch on each day. You will need to bring sailing kit and appropriate footwear for launching and retrieving from the slipway. Also recommended is a notebook as there will be a classroom sessions.

Course 1:June 06 - 07 (0930-1600hrs)
Course 2: June 13 - 14 (0930-1600hrs)
Upon completion of the course, candidates will need to complete a 1 day on-job training day and assessment where they will be expected to assist an instructor with the teaching of a course. Following this, you will be eligible to work as an assistant instructor at RHKYC.

Course Inclusions: The cost of the course includes logbooks and certificates if necessary. Lunch is included for full day courses.
Other Details:
All participants are required to be confident in the water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid. Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn at all times when on the water.
