Course Prerequisites: No Prior Experience Required.


Course Details: 

The Course is a 5-day practical course, sailing RS Quest and Fusion dinghies from Middle Island. These courses are open to the public and follow the HKSF Level 1 and Level 2 syllabus. Courses are taught in English unless specifically identified in the application.

By the end of the course, students will have mastered the basic skills of sailing and will be qualified to sail a dinghy independently. The HKSF Level 1 & 2 certificates are also the minimum qualification to hire club dinghies.

Please note that a student must complete the course in full and we suggest that you carefully consult your diary before enrolling as course fees cannot be refunded. If you are unable to attend some of the practical days, no make-up days can be arranged.

A valid RHKYC Membership number must be provided when enrolling using the Member's option and price. Members rates and priority enrollment only applies to members. All others must enroll as non-members. Failure to provide a valid RHKYC membership number will result in your enrollment being cancelled. Enrollments made using the membership option will be billed to membership accounts.

RHKYC Member - HKD5,100
Non Member - HKD7,150

Duration: 5 Full Days 

Course Times: Monday to Friday 10.00 to 18.00hrs

Course Inclusions: The cost of the course includes logbooks and certificates if necessary. Lunch is included for all full day courses with the exception of Distance Sail courses.

 

Other Details: 

All participants are required to be confident in the water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid. Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn at all times when on the water.
