Adult Intermediate Sailing

2025 July to December courses will open for enrolment on the following dates: 

RHKYC Members enrollment will open on 06 June 2025- 1700hrs

Non members enrollment will open on 20 June 2025 - 1700hrs
 

A valid RHKYC Membership number must be provided when enrolling using the Member's option and price. Members rates and priority enrollment only applies to members. All others must enroll as non-members. Failure to provide a valid RHKYC membership number will result in your enrollment being cancelled. Enrollments made using the membership option will be billed to membership accounts.

Course Prerequisites:


Participants Must Have Completed HKSF Level 2 before joining Level 3.

Once you have qualified for Level 2 you must Log 40 Hours (20 hours of helming) Of Sailing Prior to Commencing the Course. Hours accumulated during Level 1 & 2 do not count towards the 40 hour requirement as well as Keelboat sailing.

Course Details:
Expanding on previous courses, this course will introduce new elements of sailing and fine-tune your skills. Completion of this course will qualify your for the HKSF Level 3 certificate.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not already hold a HKSF Level 2 certificate or have not gained the 40 logged hours required. You may still participate in the course and be awarded a RHKYC Level 3 certificate instead. The RHKYC Level 3 certificate is not recognized at LCSD Sailing centres.


Course Fees:
RHKYC Member - HKD5,400
Non Member - HKD8,400


Minimum Age: 16 


Duration: 6 Full Days

Course Times: Saturdays and Sundays
09:00 to 17:00hrs

Location: RHKYC Middle Island Sail Training Centre

Course Inclusions: The cost of the course includes logbooks and certificates if necessary. Lunch is included for all full day courses with the exception of 'Distance Sail' courses.


Other Details:

All participants are required to be confident in the water whilst wearing a buoyancy aid. Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn at all times when on the water.
